Renal Week 2025

The International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) and the American College of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology (ACVNU) proudly hosted the IRIS-ACVNU Renal Week and Hemodialysis Boot Camp from March 24–29, 2025, at The Bethesdan Hotel in Bethesda, Maryland.

Celebrating over 20 years as the go-to educational event for veterinary kidney diseases, this year’s conference brought together over 230 participants from 26 countries, for a vibrant mix of cutting-edge lectures and hands-on labs. Truly an unforgettable learning experience!

We kicked things off with the Hemodialysis Boot Camp on March 24–25, giving participants a solid foundation in hemodialysis, CRRT, and therapeutic apheresis through engaging lectures and labs. From March 26–29, Renal Week took it to the next level with a packed schedule for both new and experienced learners. An incredible group of speakers from all over the globe shared their expertise with us. Their knowledge truly made this week special. Highlights included talks like “Sweet Spot Lessons from the Use of SGLT2i’s in Human Nephrology for Furry Friends” and “Hidden Minerals in Plain Sight,” plus hands-on labs like “POCUS in the Uremic Patient” and “Renal Pathology.”

Huge thanks to ALL of our generous sponsors - their support enhanced the conference in every way. And of course, a big shout-out to our awesome vendors—AimaLogic, Fresenius Kabi, Terumo, Antech, and others—for bringing their energy and expertise to the week. But most importantly, we’re incredibly grateful to Friendship Hospital for Animals — without their help, this event wouldn’t have been possible.

Finally, thank you to everyone who joined us both in person and virtually. Your dedication to advancing the field of veterinary nephrology and urology is exactly why we do this!

We can’t wait to see you all again back in DC in 2027.

We’re already counting down the days!
