2026 ACVNU LOWER URINARY TRACT SYMPOSIUM
The American College of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology (ACVNU) proudly hosted the inaugural ACVNU Lower Urinary Tract Symposium from March 8–11, 2026, in Raleigh, North Carolina, with sessions held at the Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley and North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine.
This first-of-its-kind meeting brought together 210 participants from 25 countries, including 179 in-person attendees and 31 livestream participants, for an immersive 3.5 days of learning, collaboration, and community focused entirely on lower urinary tract disease in veterinary medicine.
The symposium featured a dynamic scientific program filled with lectures led by the field’s leading experts. Attendees explored key topics including urothelial carcinoma, urolithiasis, canine and feline urinary incontinence, and urinary tract infections, alongside engaging roundtable discussions that fostered lively dialogue and knowledge sharing. Complementing the lectures were 16 hands-on laboratory sessions, giving participants the opportunity to refine techniques and gain practical experience with advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Beyond the scientific program, the symposium offered plenty of opportunities to connect and unwind. The week included several memorable social events, from the cocktail hour and welcome reception to the Bladder Ball dance, a lively evening of bowling at the ACVNU Bladder Bowl, and even a late-night group social distortion game session that kept the energy going well into the evening.
Dopamine levels skyrocketed throughout the meeting thanks to the beloved Puppy Parlor, made possible by the incredible work of local rescue organizations Saving Grace and Peak Lab Rescue, bringing a little extra joy and plenty of puppy cuddles to attendees.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us, both in person and online. Your enthusiasm, expertise, and dedication to advancing the field of veterinary urology made this symposium truly special.
The success of this inaugural event has already set the stage for the future, and we’re excited to bring the ACVNU Lower Urinary Tract Symposium back to Raleigh, NC again in 2028.
We can’t wait to see you there!
